Technology behind the MagniCool Mattress

It’s not Memory Foam, It’s Memoform™:
Memoform is our water-based, pressure-responsive (not heat activated) mattress medium that contours to your body. The viscoelastic foam does not rely on body heat like traditional memory foam. You get in, and the bed instantly cradles you. This patented sleep technology is available exclusively in these mattresses. Memoform is designed differently—to be breathable, hygienic, and motion-isolating, so you don’t feel movement across the bed. Most importantly, there’s no off-gassing or noxious odors, earning this mattress the stringent OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, and CertiPUR®.

Patented Magnicool technology:
Magnicool uses innovative phase changing silicate particles that pulls away body heat and transforms the energy into an instant cooling sensation. The cover is removable and washable. Here’s what makes that MagniCOOL mattress different from other types of mattresses...

FAQ

Why do some pieces have slight color or speckle variation?

That’s normal (and to be expected) with ceramics—glazes and firing temperatures can create subtle variations from piece to piece, which is part of what makes each one unique.

How do I prevent thermal shock (cracking from temperature changes)?

Avoid sudden temperature swings—let pieces warm up or cool down gradually. Don’t move ceramics straight from the freezer to a hot oven, or from a hot oven onto a cold surface.

What if something arrives damaged?

We pack everything carefully, but if something arrives damaged, reach out right away so we can help. Our Returns Policy outlines the next steps.

Are your ceramics dishwasher safe?

Yes—they’re dishwasher safe, and they’re also safe for the microwave, oven, and freezer.

Are your ceramic dishes lead-free and food-safe?

Yes—our ceramics are made without heavy metals! They are made from food-safe materials and lead-free glazes for everyday use.

Are Magniflex mattresses non-toxic and low in VOCs?

Magniflex mattresses are made with low-emission materials, so any new-mattress odor is typically minimal and fades quickly with normal ventilation. All mattresses are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and CertiPUR® certified.

Is this a good mattress for couples?

Yes—Magniflex materials are engineered to reduce motion transfer, and several models are built to balance comfort and support so both sleepers can rest well.

Do I need a box spring, or can it go on a platform bed?

You don’t need a box spring—these mattresses work great on a solid platform bed, slatted base, or foundation as long as it provides sturdy, even support. They’re also compatible with adjustable bases.

Do you offer a sleep trial or returns/exchanges?

We offer a sleep trial and flexible return/exchange options—check the product page or our Returns Policy for the exact trial length and eligibility details.

Is this a good mattress for back pain or spine support?

Yes—Magniflex mattresses are designed with ergonomic support layers that help keep your spine aligned while relieving pressure in common stress areas like the hips and shoulders.

What are the Magniflex mattress dimensions?

(L x W) Twin: 75" × 38" Twin XL: 80" × 38" Full: 75" × 54" Queen: 80" × 60" King: 80" × 76" Split King: 80" × 38" Cal King: 84" × 72" See specific mattress listing for mattress thickness/height.

What are exempt VOCs? Does HH paint contain them?

Exempt VOCs are harmful VOCs that are still allowed to be included in low VOC and no VOC paint. Healthier Homes paints is unique, as our formulas do NOT contain exempt VOCs. So you can paint with peace of mind!

What does VOC mean for paint? Is your paint low or no VOC?

We formulated all Healthier Homes paints and coatings to cure zero VOC and free from HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants). Here's why... In most commercial paint on the market, VOCs act as solvents, helping the paint apply smoothly and dry quickly. However, as the paint dries, these compounds evaporate, which is why freshly painted rooms often have that strong "paint smell." Even long after the paint has cured, the solvents in most house paints will continue to offgas into the air for a very long time, some for many years. VOCs are also added during the manufacturing process, because these chemicals are readily available and cheaper, which lower the cost to manufacture the paint and increase the paint's shelf life. But what may seem like the cheaper option to purchase off the shelf in the paint section may very well may have expensive health consequences over the long-term. While VOCs may help to improve how cheaper paint works and to prolong its shelf life, these chemicals can be harmful to your health if inhaled. Especially over the course of time at low levels, which is exactly what happens with chronic exposure inside a home or office building. More information on VOCs can be found here in our blog article about VOCs.

How much paint should I order for my project?

Most of our paints and primers cover approx 350 square feet of surface per coat of paint. Check the applications section on the product page to see how many coats are recommended and what the approximate coverage per product.
