    OUR SUSTAINABLE PARAWOOD STORY

Rubber tree farmers typically cut down and discard or burn trees after their useful life – which is 30 years when the mature tree stops producing natural latex. Our circular + sustainably sourced mature Parawood is rescued from rubber tree plantations from all over the world and given a renewed purpose in life as beautifully handmade hardwood furniture! Every time a tree is harvested, another is planted on these plantations to harmoniously maintain nature's balance. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What are exempt VOCs? Does the no VOC primer contain them?

Exempt VOCs are harmful VOCs that are still allowed to be included in low VOC and no VOC paint. The Healthier Homes paints and primers are unique, as our formulas do NOT contain exempt VOCs. So you can prime + paint with peace of mind!

What does VOC mean for paint? Is your multipurpose primer low or no VOC?

We formulated all Healthier Homes paints and coatings to cure zero VOC and free from HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants). Here's why...

In most commercial paint on the market, VOCs act as solvents, helping the paint apply smoothly and dry quickly. However, as the paint dries, these compounds evaporate, which is why freshly painted rooms often have that strong "paint smell." Even long after the paint has cured, the solvents in most house paints will continue to offgas into the air for a very long time, some for many years. VOCs are also added during the manufacturing process, because these chemicals are readily available and cheaper, which lower the cost to manufacture the paint and increase the paint's shelf life. But what may seem like the cheaper option to purchase off the shelf in the paint section may very well may have expensive health consequences over the long-term. While VOCs may help to improve how cheaper paint works and to prolong its shelf life, these chemicals can be harmful to your health if inhaled. Especially over the course of time at low levels, which is exactly what happens with chronic exposure inside a home or office building.

More information on VOCs can be found here in our blog article about VOCs.

How much healthier home degreaser should I order for my project?

How much Healthier Home Degreaser you will need depends on the size of your project, how heavily soiled the surfaces are, and the dilution ratio being used. Since the cleaner is highly concentrated and designed to be diluted for most applications, a little goes a long way. If you are cleaning an entire home, post-construction project, rental property, or commercial space, we generally recommend ordering extra to ensure consistent product availability throughout the project. Unopened product stores well and can continue being used for routine maintenance cleaning afterward. For recommended dilution ratios and project sizing guidance, please refer to the “How To Use Healthier Homes Cleaning Products” section on the Degreaser product page.

What does VOC mean for paint? Are your healthy home cleaning products low or no VOC?

We formulated all Healthier Homes paints, construction products, cleaners, and degreasers to be zero VOC and free from HAPs — hazardous air pollutants. Here’s why...

In many commercial paints and cleaning products, VOCs are used as solvents to help formulas spread, dry quickly, lift grease, or last longer on the shelf. But as they evaporate, they can release harsh fumes into the air you breathe.

That “fresh paint” or “heavy-duty cleaner” smell is not always a sign of better performance. It can be a sign of unnecessary chemicals off-gassing into your home. Our formulas are made to work without VOCs, HAPs, lingering solvents, or harsh airborne pollutants — because the products you use in your home should help clean and protect it, not compromise your indoor air.

Who is this mattress for back pain best for?

The MagniStretch Back Pain Support Mattress is a great fit for sleepers who want a clean, healthy sleep environment with more advanced support built into the feel of the bed. This collection is especially appealing for people who deal with back pain, morning stiffness, or tension through the spine and want a mattress that does more than simply feel supportive. The MagniStretch line is designed to encourage gentle spinal decompression while you sleep, making it a strong choice for sleepers who want a more therapeutic, performance-driven sleep surface. It is also a great option for active people and athletes who want a mattress that supports overnight recovery.

Like other Magniflex mattresses, it is also a strong option for sleepers looking for ergonomic support, pressure relief, and healthier spinal alignment. That makes it especially appealing for those with pressure point sensitivity in the shoulders, hips, or lower back. Each mattress responds to pressure rather than body heat, so the surface instantly conforms the moment you lie down for balanced cushioning and structured support. The MagniStretch collection is specifically engineered to encourage gentle spinal decompression and increased blood flow to discs during sleep. It is also approved by the American Chiropractic Association, reinforcing its focus on spinal wellness and recovery.

Our nontoxic mattresses are also a favorite among health-conscious sleepers who care about quality, healthier materials inside their home environment. The MagniStretch collection is also great for couples, since it is designed to help reduce motion transfer and minimize disturbance when a partner moves during the night, while still delivering a breathable, supportive feel for both sleepers. If you are looking for a luxurious, performance-driven sleep surface with a stronger focus on spinal support and recovery, you are in the right place.
